Trend reversal? Analyst identifies Havells India, NTPC, Birlasoft on charts
Havells is in focus.
· Business Standard Mkts
NTPC stock is showing early signs of a potential reversal, as it trades near its long-term support (200-week EMA) on the charts, says Sachin Gupta of Choice Broking.
The analysis
Against that, the stock is -0.6% on the day at ₹1,013.80, and has returned -19.6% over three months. It sits 33% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The consumer durables sector has moved -12.4% over the same period, so Havells is running 7.2 points behind its peers.
For Havells, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the consumer durables peer set alongside it.
