· Economic Times Markets, ET Stocks
Quant Mutual Fund sold 20.81 lakh shares of Jubilant Pharmova worth Rs 190.47 crore in bulk deals, while Abakkus Four2Eight Opportunities Fund bought 11 lakh shares. The transactions came as the pharmaceutical company approved plans to raise up to Rs 800 crore through non-convertible debentures and seek broader debt issuance authorisation.
The analysis
This is a Promoter stake / pledge event. Promoters transact with better information than the market. Direction against the price trend is the signal — accumulation into weakness reads differently from a sale into strength.
