Bharti Airtel reported movement of 16%, 26% and 15%. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.

Against that, the stock is +0.1% on the day at ₹1,973.70, and has returned +0.9% over three months. It sits 9% below its 52-week high. The telecom & media sector has moved +0.9% over the same period, so Bharti Airtel is running 0.0 points behind its peers.

For Bharti Airtel, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the telecom & media peer set alongside it.

  • Earnings versus expectations is what actually re-rates a stock; the surprise matters more than the absolute number.
  • In focus: Bharti Airtel (BHARTIARTL), in Telecom & Media.
  • Over three months: Bharti Airtel +0.9% against Telecom & Media +0.9% (0.0 points behind).
