Omaxe, Lemon Tree ink pact to manage 10 upcoming hotels worth ₹4,000 cr
Lemon Tree Hotels set out an expansion.
· BS Companies
Realty firm Omaxe Ltd has signed an initial pact with Lemon Tree Hotels' arm to manage 10 hospitality projects being developed by the company with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.
The analysis
Lemon Tree Hotels reported ₹4,000 cr, Rs 4,000 crore and Rs 6,200 crore. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.
Against that, the stock is -1.9% on the day at ₹109.27, and has returned +0.1% over three months. It sits 35% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The hotels & restaurants sector has moved -0.9% over the same period, so Lemon Tree Hotels is running 1.0 points ahead of its peers.
For Lemon Tree Hotels, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the hotels & restaurants peer set alongside it.
